About Our Speakers
Stacey L. Buck, MA, CCC-SLP/L is an ASHA certified and Illinois licensed speech-language pathologist who has enjoyed over 20 years of success in helping children gain underlying foundational skills, as well as compensatory strategies in order to make school easier for them. Stacey is highly experienced in teaching general and special education students, both individually and in team-teaching, and this classroom experience is only one of the many ways she is able to help prepare children for social and academic achievement. This, along with her ability to provide concise and meaningful input when consulting with teachers, distinguishes her in the field and contributes significantly to the child's progress. In her private practice, Stacey is in high demand for her unique ability to successfully work with children from preschool through college-age and their families. As a thought leader in the field, she is consistently asked to train graduate students as well as present to and collaborate with various schools throughout the Chicago area.
Robyn M. Newman, PhD, CCC-SLP/L began her clinical career 18 years ago working in both private and public schools with children who have significant special needs. Currently, Dr. Newman has a private practice in Chicago, PediaTalk, LLC, that provides home- and school-based speech and language assessment and intervention services for preschool, elementary, middle, and high school-aged children who have a variety of developmental speech and language disorders. She also consults with private day schools in the Chicago area and was an adjunct faculty member at Northwestern University, teaching the graduate-level Pediatric Speech Sound Disorders course. Dr. Newman has presented at the local, state, and national levels and continues to provide guest lectures on a variety of topics to graduate students studying neuropsychology, school psychology, and speech-language pathology. She is the Secretary of the North Suburban Speech-Language Association and is completing her twelfth year on their Board of Directors. Dr. Newman received her academic training from the University of Illinois (BS) and Northwestern University (MA, PhD).
