Presidents' Letter
Dear NSSLA Members,
Welcome back to another year of NSSLA programming. It’s almost fall once again! We hope your summer was filled with happiness, health, and peaceful moments with family and friends. As we kick off the new programming year, we are excited to share updates and opportunities designed to make your NSSLA membership even more valuable.
Membership Registration and Dues: We are pleased to share that annual membership dues will remain at just $30. By joining at the start of the year, this one-time fee covers participation and CEUs for all programs throughout the year. For our local CFY and graduate students interested in participating in our programming and networking opportunities, membership will remain free of charge! We hope this makes it easier than ever to stay connected and involved.
This year, membership forms will be available through a public link, NSSLA Membership Form. Please click on the link for details on how to register and submit Dues.
Continuing Education Units (CEUs): This year, NSSLA will provide a guaranteed minimum of 5 ASHA CEU hours through two live presentations:

Location: Skokie Public Library - Radmacher Room

10:00-10:30 AM Registration and Business Meeting
10:30-2:00 PM Presentation (3 hours with 15 minute break/15 minute Q&A)
Cost: Included in $30 Annual Membership Dues

Topic: AI Fundamentals for the SLP: Tips, Tricks, and Ethical Integration
Presenter: Sarah Bishop, MA, CCC-SLP

Building on the success of last year’s book discussion and yoga event, we are excited to share that plans are underway for a third asynchronous CEU opportunity, along with a live social program in late spring (CEU hours TBD). Stay tuned for more details!
Social Networking Events: NSSLA remains committed to creating meaningful opportunities for members to connect socially. Our first event of the year will be a free kickoff gathering on Thursday, September 11th at The Next-Door Lounge, 1344 Meadow Road, Northbrook, IL from 6:00–7:30 PM Please RSVP using this link:Social Kickoff Event. Feel free to invite colleagues or friends who may be interested!
